Tottenham set to complete deal for Tanguy Ndombele on a club record fee of £60million
Spurs are hoping to finalised their stunning club-record move for Tanguy Ndombele by the end of this week
Tottenham are in advanced negotiations with Lyon to sign the French midfielder in a deal worth around £60million, topping the £42m they splashed out for defender Davinson Sanchez in 2017.
The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for manager Mauricio Pochettino and having been keen to sign him in the previous two windows they are now on the verge of finally landing their man.
Capturing Ndombele would represent a significant statement of intent from the north Londoners and be part of an eye-catching return to the transfer market after two windows without spending.
Spurs made Ndombele a priority target this summer and emerged as the front-runners to sign him and his preferred destination amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Ndombele is understood to have already visited Spurs’s impressive training ground and is expected to pen a five-year deal.
